Panic/Anxiety Group

Description

This four-session group is suitable for individuals, 18 and older, who suffer from anxiety and experience the somatic/physical symptoms of anxiety, including panic attacks. Each group is 60 minutes and is limited to seven participants.
Using a combination of ACT (Acceptance & Commitment Therapy), CBT, and psycho-education principles, this group focuses on understanding the cycle of anxiety, recognizing triggers of panic/anxiety, learning to defuse unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to anxiety, managing anxiety symptoms, and reducing avoidance and “accommodation” of the anxiety.
An initial assessment/individual introductory session will be conducted with each individual prior to the start of the group. If the member has out-of-network benefits, our practice will submit claims on behalf of the member for reimbursement.
Please note that this is a remote group conducted on a HIPAA-compliant secure video platform.
