Having worked in Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) and traditional addiction treatment, our Founder and Director, Katherine Casey, saw firsthand the benefits of holistic care beyond traditional talk therapy including somatic and arts therapies, providing family support, collaborating with medical providers, and referrals to community resources. Perhaps most importantly, she recognized the value of using personal insight and experiences to help guide clients on their paths to wellness and self-discovery. Today, these lessons are the principles that guide our practice.

Clients play a key role in developing goals and evaluating progress in the therapeutic process – they decide what they want to get out of therapy and when they have achieved their goals.

It is important that you feel comfortable in taking that first step with me to find a therapist and for that reason, I offer an initial free consultation. I’ve been providing online session before online sessions were even “a thing” because I want to ensure that you have access to your session from wherever you might be. Are you ready? Looking forward!
All you need to bring to therapy is an open mind and a willingness to explore. I am a very interactive therapist; I give a lot of feedback and guidance. In my work with individuals, I help people see how they developed the coping skills and defense mechanisms they did, and how to begin recognizing them in a less judgmental way. I also teach couples new communication skills: how to rebuild trust and safety after a breach, how to mirror one another, ways to validate and empathize. We work on breaking bad patterns and create healthier ones using positivity and appreciations.
