My absolute love is helping sensitive LGBTQIA+ introverts who have been pushed to the margins discover their voice.
Maybe you’re deeply empathetic, you’ve been told you’re too sensitive, an over-thinker, take things too personally, too quiet, too withdrawn, too much, too... something! Roughly 15-20% of the population has a level of sensory processing sensitivity and about 25-40% of the population are introverts. If you suspect this describes you, you’re in good company.
I think us sensitive introverts have unique needs, ways to tend to ourselves, and types of emotional nourishment that are under-appreciated in the dominant culture. And when we’re navigating a life that involves various intersections, things can be really difficult, even overwhelming.
It’s very important to me that the therapy space honors all pieces of your identity. I offer a judgement-free zone for those interested in exploring and navigating topics related to power, privilege, oppression, and marginalization (e.g., white supremacy, transnegativity, homophobia, sexism, ableism, etc.). In the spirit of full transparency, I believe that as a human who embodies a number of structural privileges, my anti-racist and anti-oppressive learning is never finished, which is humbling.
My goal is to offer you the highest quality holistic counseling that I can, so any gains you make in therapy will last the rest of your life. And I always emphasize that no matter who you are or where you come from, your story is honored here.
