Hello ! So glad you are here! I think that seeking help is brave because we live in a culture that doesn't encourage us to do so. Most of us think we need to be independent, self-sufficient, and figure things out on our own. It is sadly, endemic to our culture. We are not meant to navigate this world alone. We are wired to bond, to relate, to share, to have meaning in our relationships. If you feel you are alone, I am here to tell you: You don't have to be alone.

That said I also recognize that "navigating" this world is not easy at all. We have to juggle a lot! Plus we have a very complex navigation system which is our physical body, emotional body, mind, and energetic system. Let alone other things (aspects of our personality, memories, past trauma, attachment wounding) that interphase and inform our reality moment to moment. Whoa! It is most definitely a lot.

I love the work I do because my soul is in it. In my own journey therapy as a client for many many years, I learned to embody my true self which is now at the core of the work I do with clients. I want you to be you, fully, unapologetically. I want you to connect with your truth, your voice, your power, your wisdom.

So I welcome you into a new journey. The journey of self-discovery.

My goal as a therapist is to help you maximize joy and fulfillment in your life. Together we can work to bring awareness to the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, to shift old ways of thinking that may no longer be serving you, and to develop actionable ways for you to overcome any barriers to living the life you envision.

I strive to create a supportive and judgement-free environment in which you can be free to be your authentic self and safely explore difficult feelings and experiences. I will also challenge you to examine patterns of thinking and communicating and try new skills outside of session. Sessions with me are typically semi-structured and involve a combination of reflection, active listening, feedback, and problem-solving.

My practice is open to adults of all backgrounds, and I use an intersectional lens, understanding the ways in which gender, race, sexuality, and class impact our lived experiences. I encourage you to reach out so we can talk about how we can best work together to help you reach your goals.

I believe having a safe place to process our life challenges creates an environment for change and growth. Safety is key when processing our everyday struggles and mental health issues.

Whatever the issue, having a safe place within counseling creates restoration. It creates a space were you can start loving and accepting yourself. This process starts with vulnerability. It takes courage to be vulnerable, and vulnerability leads to true change. Vulnerability breaks down the walls of shame, depression, grief, and negative self image leading to hope and healing.

When sitting with me in the counseling context you will find yourself sitting with someone that is calming and centered. My focus in therapy are your personal difficulties, not an easy fix. Therapy is meant to be a long lasting relationship with the therapist in order to provide the best mental health care possible.

This type of therapy is what results in long lasting change. I believe that the therapies that tend to be quick and controlled result in immediate change, but not lasting change. Lasting change takes time and energy. As your therapist I will give you many resources that push you towards lasting change. If you are ready for this journey to begin please contact me and set up your free 30 min.

Welcome! I know how daunting it can be to select a therapist and start this process in general, and I commend you for taking this important step for your child or yourself. I love working with older children, teens and adults who may be struggling with depression, anxiety, phobias, self-esteem issues or relationship difficulties. I strive to provide a warm and safe environment in which we can explore, process, and deeply understand your experience, identify treatment goals and learn new strategies for coping with difficulties. My ultimate goal is to promote personal growth and help you or your child internalize our work so that you have the tools to overcome future obstacles in addition to the current ones.

If it sounds like I may be a good fit for you or your family, I welcome you to request a free phone consultation so that we can learn more about each other and determine next steps.

Out-of-pocket-fees: $125 - $150 per session

My name is Lauren Hall and I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in individual therapy with adults and young adults. I deeply value the work of therapy because I believe that to be human means to live in a constant flow of transition and change. Throughout our lives we must learn, unlearn and learn again how to meet our needs for personal growth and development. Maintaining an open dialogue about how life's ongoing challenges shape us keeps us honest and healthy.

All of us experience moments in life that are greatly painful and where community or specialized support is essential to our adaptation. In this fast paced world where technology and convenience can be favored over face to face connection, it is easy to find ourselves feeling lost, isolated or stuck. Wounds from the past often become buried under the demands of everyday life. Unprocessed pain and unchecked beliefs can shape our thoughts and experiences, distorting our view of ourself and others. We may find ourselves feeling increasingly anxious about the future and reacting to life's challenges more often than we are consciously responding to them.

My goal is to provide a therapeutic space where you can explore challenging thoughts, behaviors and experiences. My approach is warm, active, and collaborative. I view the therapeutic relationship as a rich and interactive experience that fosters understanding, broadens perspective and promotes internal healing. Working together we can uncover problematic pieces that keep you feeling hurt or stuck and discover the changes necessary to move you forward.
