Specialties & expertise
Dr. Kristin Davin is a Licensed Psychologist and Coach with offices in New York City (FiDi district) and in Hoboken, NJ. She works with both individuals and couples and specializes in couples counseling (premarital and marriage counseling), divorce, relationship struggles, anxiety, coparenting, and personal and professional development and coaching. Many of her clients with anxiety are navigating challenges surrounding living in a big city, dating, and/or being in a relationship.
Dr. Davin is a solution-focused psychologist and coach who helps her clients develop goals and healthy coping strategies. She first asks clients why they have decided to start therapy or coaching and what they hope to get out of it. Together, an individualized treatment or coaching goals are designed that helps clients focus more on solutions rather than problems. She is highly trained in Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which helps individuals and couples change patterns of thinking and behaviors while coming up with solutions to current challenges.
Dr. Davin incorporates her own personal experiences when necessary and aims to help clients focus on a future. She looks forward to meeting you.
