S.W.A.N.A (Southwest Asian and North African) Women's Group



The S.W.A.N.A. (Southwest Asian and North African) Cis and Trans Women's Group is an 8-week process group. The purpose is create a safe space for women who identify with the S.W.A.N.A region so that they can share their histories and lived experiences with one another in an effort to develop culturally specific strategies and methods to facilitate their own self-discovery and healing.  Group topics will include overcoming shame, guilt, gender, sexuality, setting boundaries, and improving relationships. The group is limited to six participants.

The group starts Thursday September 5th, 2019 and will be weekly from 8:00pm-9:30pm. 


The cost of the group is $55/session or $400 up front.  The group is also in-network with both Aetna and Consolidated Health Plan (CHP).

NYC Affirmative Psychotherapy is a community focused sustainable sliding scale mental health practice in midtown Manhattan providing treatment to individual adults and couples ages 18+. Their mission is simple: provide affirmative psychotherapy in a sustainable way to the community. They have a special commitment to serving queer communities of color.
